Maasai woman.
A Maasai woman comes into her own when her sons become warriors. At that time in her life she begins to enjoy some control over the people around her and to look forward to the time when her sons will marry and bring wives home to help her with chores. Naisuaki wears the ornaments of a married woman of her time, heavily beaded instead of the earlier metal jewllery. The chain hanging from one of her earrings has been disconnected from its mate indicating that an important ceremonial event was taking place. She also has two warriors' earrings attached to her undernecklace suggesting that she may be holding them in safe keeping for her son.
